We’re a local in the true sense of the word. For a long time, Buglers has been a place for locals and outsiders to get together, have a drink and catch up. In 200 years, that’s never changed.

We accommodate families, groups and individuals and have areas to suit everyone. The pub has a very special atmosphere and an ethos of inclusion delivering an unrivalled service to the surrounding community.

History

Established in 1798, Buglers Ballyboden House prides ourselves at being the “local” for the residents of Ballyboden, Rathfarnham, Ballyroan and more. We are a family run business with our loyal local customers at the heart of everything we do. 

The pub has seen some significant changes in look and personnel over the years from Tom J Bugler taking over from the D’alton Family in 1954, to Liam Bugler, the pubs legendary owner to Paschal carrying the pub after Liam passed in 2007.  Liam’s legacy is proudly carried on today and is clear to see in our ethos. Customers are first.
